Why have screw compressors become the dedicated air compressors for PET blow molding in plastic bottle production?

2024-08-03

PET blow molding compressor operating conditions: continuous 24-hour operation, energy saving, stable and reliable, low noise (environmentally friendly), and small footprint. Ten years ago, blow molding compressors were mainly small-displacement, as the beverage industry was just starting out. Many small blow molding plants used semi-automatic blow molding machines, typically 1.2-2.0 displacement air compressors with a pressure of 3.0 MPa. As production scaled up, a large number of semi-automatic blow molding machines were purchased, along with many small PET blow molding compressors, leading to drawbacks such as large footprint, high noise, and high maintenance costs. Currently, the blow molding market is booming, and many companies have purchased large rotary blow molding machines, requiring larger air compressors. This has led to the development of screw compressors, which have become a popular choice. Why have companies unanimously chosen screw compressors? I believe they offer the following advantages: 1. Small footprint; 2. The option of using a permanent magnet variable frequency screw air compressor; 3. Low noise; 4. Low maintenance costs and easier maintenance. Therefore, most blow molding factories currently choose Hengda screw compressor integrated machines.
