Recently, the "China-Belarus Joint Innovation and Industrialization Project for Smart Agricultural Machinery Equipment", led by CAS-Power, successfully held a demonstration and promotion event in Gainy Town, Minsk Oblast, Belarus. This event marks the first on-site application and debut of China’s unmanned agricultural machinery technology in Belarus. Representatives from institutions including the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Ministry of Industry of Belarus, the Department of Agricultural Machinery of Belarus, and China National Machinery Belarus Co., Ltd. attended the event for on-site observation and exchange, jointly witnessing the local implementation of smart agricultural machinery technology.
The advancement of this project is closely aligned with the "2024-2025 China-Belarus Year of Science and Technology Innovation". In August 2024, the premiers of the two countries jointly launched this sci-tech innovation cooperation mechanism in Minsk; during the closing ceremony of the "China-Belarus Year of Science and Technology Innovation" held at this year’s Pujiang Innovation Forum, the "China-Belarus Innovation and Industrialization Project for Smart Agricultural Machinery Equipment" – in which CAS-Power participates – was officially signed as a key cooperation project between the two countries. The project aims to integrate the technological and resource advantages of China and Belarus, jointly develop smart agricultural machinery equipment, and provide services covering markets such as China, Belarus, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and BRICS countries. Ultimately, it seeks to achieve the goals of improving agricultural output efficiency, optimizing resource utilization, alleviating agricultural labor shortages, and strengthening food security systems.
At the demonstration event in Gainy Town, Minsk Oblast, Belarus, a Minsk tractor equipped with CAS-Power’s Unmanned Agricultural Machinery Operation System and mounted with agricultural tools successfully completed the entire process of operational tasks, including path planning, automatic operation, and obstacle avoidance. It demonstrated highly accurate and reliable capabilities in intelligent perception, decision-making, and control, which were highly recognized by Belarusian representatives. The Belarusian side commented that the stable performance of the smart agricultural machinery under complex working conditions exceeded expectations. They expressed the hope that both sides would summarize experience to accelerate the project’s implementation, promote localized adaptation and mass application of the technology, and further deepen technical collaboration and industrial integration in the field of smart agricultural equipment.

On the day of the successful demonstration event, Dr. Han Wei, Founder and Chairman of CAS-Power, was invited to hold in-depth exchanges with H.E. Ambassador of Belarus to China, Mr. Andrei Chervyakov, in Beijing regarding the project’s progress. Dr. Han Wei introduced the phased achievements of the project in technology integration and localized adaptation, and emphasized that the Chinese team would continue to optimize the operational performance of smart agricultural machinery in light of Belarus’ actual agricultural needs. Ambassador Chervyakov affirmed the important value of the project in improving the local level of agricultural modernization, stating that he is willing to promote enhanced policy alignment and industry-academia-research cooperation between the two sides to facilitate the transformation and implementation of technological achievements in Belarus. Both sides agreed that the project not only aligns with the cooperation purpose of the "China-Belarus Year of Science and Technology Innovation" but also injects new impetus into the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative jointly built by the two countries.
As a member of BRICS and the SCO, and a comprehensive strategic cooperative partner of China, Belarus has a solid foundation and broad prospects for cooperation with China in the agricultural field. In the future, with the joint efforts of both sides, the international cooperation in agricultural science and technology between China and Belarus will write a new chapter. The CAS-Power team will continue to deepen collaborative innovation with Belarusian partners. The advancement of this project has also received strong support from China National Machinery Belarus Co., Ltd., which has provided an important guarantee for the implementation of the cooperation.
