Main Characteristics:
A mid-maturing variety with high fruiting rate. It exhibits good tolerance to cold, humidity, and heat, along with strong disease resistance. Features chrysanthemum-shaped fruit stems, thick and straight tubercles, and uniform fruit shape from head to tail, with an attractive appearance. Fruit length ranges from 24-28cm, transverse diameter 8-10cm, and the peel is glossy dark green with excellent marketability. Single fruit weight is 500-750g. Under normal climate and intensive management conditions, the yield can reach 2500-3500kg per mu (1 mu ≈ 0.0667 hectares).
Cultivation Measures:
Plant 350-400 plants per mu. Choose loamy soil with convenient drainage and irrigation that has not been planted with melon crops in the past 3 years. Adopt high-ridge double-row planting with a row spacing of 2.5m and plant spacing of 1.8m. Apply sufficient base fertilizer; during the fruiting period, use compound organic fertilizer for topdressing. Strengthen water and fertilizer management to keep the soil moist. Remove side branches below 1m, old leaves, diseased leaves, and bottom leaves to ensure ventilation and light transmission, reducing pest and disease damage. Timely control pests such as striped cucumber beetles, leafminers, fruit flies, and diseases like powdery mildew. For specific management, refer to local cultivation practices.
Suitable Planting Areas & Seasons:
Suitable for cultivation across China under optimal growth temperatures of 16-32°C. For spring cultivation (under suitable temperatures), sow seeds from February 1st to May 10th using seedling transplantation; for summer-autumn cultivation, direct seeding after germination is recommended from June 15th to August 20th. Early-maturing protected cultivation is advised for spring planting.
Adaptability:
This variety has strong tolerance to continuous cropping, high fruiting rate, good disease resistance, and wide adaptability.
