Phthalic anhydride reactor

Our company has undertaken the design and manufacture of over 60 phthalic anhydride reaction units with capacities ranging from 5,000 tonnes per annum to 80,000 tonnes per annum, and we are capable of designing and manufacturing units with even greater production capacities to meet customer requirements.

Our phthalic anhydride reactors with a capacity of 20,000 tonnes per annum or more have been designated as ‘Key New Products’ by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

    The 40,000-tonne-per-year phthalic anhydride reaction unit has successfully passed scientific and technological achievement appraisal and has secured five domestic utility model patents. With independent intellectual property rights, it has filled a domestic gap and reached a leading domestic level.

The 80,000-tonne reactor system is currently the single unit with the largest production capacity among phthalic anhydride reactors designed and manufactured domestically. Its production technology is at the forefront in China, with a radial temperature difference of ≤±2°C, and an axial temperature difference of <4°C, representing an internationally advanced standard. It has broken the foreign monopoly in this field, meets the requirements for the localisation of large-scale chemical plants in China, and has made a positive contribution to promoting the development of the domestic manufacturing industry towards larger-scale and more energy-efficient operations, earning unanimous praise from numerous companies. The 80,000-tonne reactor has already been exported and entered the international market.

    The company’s main products include phthalic anhydride reaction units with capacities of 5,000 tonnes, 10,000 tonnes, 20,000 tonnes, 30,000 tonnes, 40,000 tonnes, 50,000 tonnes, 60,000 tonnes and 80,000 tonnes per annum, suitable for the production of both naphthalene-based and o-xylene-based phthalic anhydride. The phthalic anhydride reaction units comprise reaction vessels, molten salt coolers, steam superheaters, vaporisers, control valves, balancing valves, molten salt pumps, electric heaters, as well as air preheaters and gas coolers.
