Main Characteristics

This variety is bred and improved from Huoche Early Radish and Yangmeilou Early Radish. It is an early-to-mid-maturing variety with good tolerance to high temperature and heavy rainfall. The taproots are snow-white, plump, sweet-tasting, and low in fiber. Harvest can start 45 days after sowing. Under normal climatic conditions and intensive management, the yield can reach 900–1500 kg per mu (1 mu ≈ 0.0667 hectares).

Cultivation Measures

Select deep, loose, fertile, pollution-free, sunny, and well-drained sandy loam for planting white radish. The field for radish cultivation requires deep plowing and fine tillage—the deeper the plowing layer, the larger the radish roots will grow.

Field Management

  1. Ensure Seedling EmergenceIf heavy rain or drought occurs within 2–3 days after sowing, causing surface soil crusting or drying, loosen the soil or irrigate the seed pits in a timely manner to break the crust or alleviate drought, ensuring uniform and full seedling emergence.
  2. Thinning & Final Seedling EstablishmentThin the seedlings 20–25 days after sowing, retaining only one robust seedling per pit.
  3. Intertillage & TopdressingAfter final seedling establishment, promptly apply topdressing by diluting compound fertilizer (containing 15% each of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium) at a ratio of 1:100 with water, and conduct intertillage and weeding simultaneously. Adjust the application rate flexibly according to soil conditions and fertilizer/water status. The seed dosage per mu is approximately 0.5–1.0 kg. Implement integrated prevention and control measures for diseases and pests, including soft rot, black rot, downy mildew, viral diseases, and aphids.
