FilmTec™ BW30 PRO-400 IG
High Rejection and High-Performance Industrial Standard Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis Membrane Element
Key Features
- Compared to the previous BW30 product, the produced water quality is more stable, with higher salt rejection and water production rate.
- Built on the industry-standard reverse osmosis membrane of the predecessor BW30, with decades of proven performance.
- Exceptional durability ensures stable long-term operation.
Primary Applications
- Desalination in industrial sectors: power, steel & metals, chemical, and petrochemical industries.
- Municipal water purification.
Notes:
- Product water flow and salt rejection (NaCl) are based on standard test conditions: 2,000 ppm NaCl, 225 psi (15.5 bar), 77°F (25°C), pH 8, 15% recovery.
- The product water flow of a single element may vary but will not be 15% lower than the stated value.
- Product sales specifications may change slightly with design improvements.
Notes
- Note a: Maximum temperature for continuous operation above pH 10 is 95°F (35°C).
- Note b: For recommended feed/product flow rates, fluxes, and recovery rates based on feed water quality, refer to the FilmTec™ 8” Element Multi-Element System Application Design Guide (Doc No. 45-001695-en).
- Note c: Since chlorides are excluded from warranty coverage, DuPont Water Solutions recommends removing free chlorine via pretreatment before contact with the membrane. For details, refer to Feed Water Dechlorination (Doc No. 45-D01509-en).
General Information
- Maintain continuous wetting after initial hydration.
- Failure to adhere to operating limits/guidelines in this document voids the proportional limited warranty (Doc No. 45-D00903-en).
- To prevent microbial growth during long-term storage, use preservatives for offline membrane storage.
- Users assume liability for damage from incompatible chemicals/lubricants.
- Never allow backpressure on the product water side.
- Discharge initial product water for the first hour of operation.
- This product does not guarantee cyst/pathogen removal; effective reduction requires proper system operation/maintenance.
Important Information
Optimal RO membrane performance requires proper operation/maintenance. Follow these procedures:
- Pressure vessel installation & 8” element preparation (Doc No. 45-D01602-en)
- System operation:
- Factory start-up sequence (Doc No. 45-D01609-en)- RO/NF system shutdown (Doc No. 45-D01613-en)
- Handling, protection, & storage (Doc No. 45-D03716-en)
- For system design/operation/troubleshooting, refer to the FilmTec™ Reverse Osmosis Membrane Technical Manual (Doc No. 45-D01504-en).
